Accelerating innovation through the circular carbon economy (CCE) framework

Experts largely agree that the challenge of achieving climate goals, such as those set forth in the Paris Agreement, will be challenging to achieve without pursuing all options to manage GHG emissions. The primary energy mix that the world will rely on to reach a carbon balance, net-zero emissions, or carbon neutrality must include all energy sources. However, the resulting carbon emissions from the energy mix must be managed, where the concept of the circular carbon economy, an outgrowth of the idea of the circular economy, is promoting an innovative framework for understanding how the options for carbon management interrelate to achieve climate goals, by assuring energy security and GHG emissions management.

In addition to addressing opportunities to develop a commercially viable circular system that can convert stranded carbon assets into valuable products, this panel will provide a distinctive set of perspectives to learn about the CCE concept and framework and Saudi National CCE Program and the Saudi Energy Innovation Program.
