100% Clean Energy Cities - Subnational Leadership on Equity and Renewable Energy

This panel moderated by the World Resources Institute and C40 Cities will feature a discussion with city leaders exploring “what it takes” to successfully pursue 100% renewable energy goals and building decarbonization.

Panel discussion will include a closer look at how subnational governments play key roles in achieving national climate goals and advancing a just transition. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear candid insights from the local government perspective on common challenges and opportunities related to municipal and community wide equitable renewable energy adoption. Panelists will share how national level programs which support renewable energy deployment can be shaped to be effective and most helpful for subnational entities.

Beyond, the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to hear both keynote remarks from Mayor Hancock from the City of Denver and insights from the philanthropic world, featuring Bloomberg Philanthropies and their successful program supported U.S. take impactful climate action.
