Experts predict demand for low-emissions hydrogen to increase by 250%-700% by 2050. We will need to explore all viable paths to produce clean hydrogen to increase production and meet that demand. In addition to natural gas with carbon capture and renewable energy solutions like wind and solar, zero- or low-carbon energy sources such as nuclear energy and superhot rock geothermal energy can play a key role in the production of clean hydrogen. Experts on this high-level roundtable discussion will explore what we can gain by advancing these clean energy sources for hydrogen production, and what we must do to make it happen. This discussion will bring together executive leaders of multi-national companies, government officials, and international innovators across hydrogen’s value chain. Each participant has a critical role to play in advancing hydrogen to help achieve climate goals. Participants will discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the industry.
